Mark T Hanstein, DDS
Dr. Mark T Hanstein attended the University of Central Oklahoma and The University of Oklahoma where he received microbiology and chemistry degrees. He attended professional school at The University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. After obtaining his Doctorate of Dental Surgery Degree, Dr Hanstein received postgraduate training at the L.D. Pankey Institute, recognized worldwide for it excellence in advanced technical dentistry and training in occlusions and disorders of the temporal mandibular joint (TMJ)
Dr. Hanstein has been practicing dentistry for over 35 years. He is an esteemed member of the dental community and is personal involved in the following professional organizations:
- American Dental Association where he represented the 5th Congressional District and chaired the Council of Governmental Affairs
- Oklahoma State Dental Association
- Oklahoma County Dental Society where he has served as Past President, DENPAC Chair and maintains current board status
- He is a member of the McGarry Study Club, the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry Alumni Association and the University of Oklahoma Alumni Association.
Dr. Hanstein has enjoyed giving back to the Oklahoma City community and has worked with many non-profit organizations throughout the years including the Infant Crisis Service Board and Myriad Gardens Foundation. He is the current President of Men’s Dinner Club of Oklahoma City, St Luke Methodist Church Administrative Board, Boys Scouts Last Frontier Council Board, Kiwanis of Oklahoma City Past President and current board member, and Committee of One Hundred member. Dr. Hanstein is a founding and current member of the Oklahoma Athletic Commission. He has given over 250 hours of involvement with the Mission of Mercy free dental service in the state of Oklahoma and was a first responder to the 1995 Oklahoma City Bombing.
Dr. Hanstein is married to his wife Melanie and they have six children. During his time away from dentistry, Dr. Hanstein enjoys reading, car shows, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
